Re: Spring Awakening: March/April Goals and Progress
I do feel lucky to have schooling show opportunities at any level but to be fair it's more of me getting in the ring doing the thing (last year: can you do a flying change and not lose the plot and this year: can you do multiple changes and not run off to china?) The judges for these shows sometimes...

Oh Exvet, I was really gunning for some validation for you this past weekend. It really sounds like you are on the good path with Junior, more time in a good saddle, more consistency in that right rein and honestly a little bit of luck to have everything come together in a test (and the right judge....

Spring Awakening: March/April Goals and Progress
Manifesting better weather and ride time for all. Let’s crack on! Have looked at basic show season schedule and will make better plans when trainer returns north. Blob I agree with Mari on this. In training we have to let horses make mistakes to learn, and horses have to be given the space (and grace) to make mistakes so they get that 'try' attitude. Yes to good basics as the building blocks of it all but in the end sometimes you just have to give it a go. Li...
