Re: Ponderings/mystifyment/bafflement - The 75K+ sales horse
I get that a professional or someone that has goals for showing but how many of those exist in this country v/s amateur riders and backyard owners? I can't fathom investing that much in a horse, period. I would never compromise retirement savings or expect my DH to sacrifice to spend that much on an...

Re: So what are you watching?
I'm a big sci fi fan, so started watching Project Blue Book and The Passage. While I loved The Passage audio tapes, the TV version has jumped ship and changed things way too much for me to be loving it; not to mention they are moving at light speed and missing telling the story well. I'll keep watch...

Re: Seniors...will you buy another when....
When we moved to our new place I had 3 old geldings that have been retired for awhile now. I was ready to get a ridable horse. I never thought I'd buy an Arab or a little horse much less one that is older but I did. It's great to be back in the saddle and closer to the ground; however, my old body i...

Re: Saddle Fit Nightmare - Very Long Vent
My consider a swept up panel, some of the Stubbens have them as do a few others. Might consider something designed for a COB, Kent and Masters has one. I settled on a Stubben for my Arab, works great. Not sure a Stubben would go wide enough for what you need. Maybe look at Duett, they are made for w...

Re: Loss
I'm sorry for your loss. It's always difficult, just take it one day at a time. I lost a horse just over a year ago a week before we were moving, very unexpected, was equally hard on the other horses as they not only lost a herd member but were uprooted from their farm where they had spent many year...

Re: Dressage Today
Is the combo magazine still being published monthly or has it gone quarterly too? See where Equus is going quarterly. Sad to see so many magazines struggling. DT lost my interest awhile back, smaller, mostly advertisements and not a lot of good articles.

New to the Board
New to the board, migrated over from the "other" board and formerly of the UDBB. Was having long running posting issues for over a year that their techs have been unable to fix. Finally got tired of not being able to post so went forum searching and found this board! I'm recognizing a lot ...

We had a pretty good view of it, a little hazy but mostly good. Wish it had been warmer though.

Re: Tell us about YOU.
Just migrated over from the other board (COTH, was js on there and formerly of the UDBB, was js there too), been having issues with unapproved posts for over a year and they can't manage to fix it. It keeps getting worse, I'm tired of it so found this board. I recognize a lot of names here!

Re: I have to go saddle shopping, where to start?
I second getting a fitter, if nothing else at least a consultation. I have a Arab gelding, found an older Stubben Scandica that is perfect for him.
