He is very nicely put together besides being cute. I really think the 1/4 Fjord will make him a nicer horse...are you SURE you want to sell him? Glad I don't live close to you or I'd be seriously tempted!

Reminds me of the movie Catch Me if You Can.

He's a pretty ambitious kid, I'll give him that!

Yes, Madrid and surrounding areas such as Toledo, Segovia and Salamanca. Or better yet, head a little further south and do Seville, Jerez (riding school), Córdoba and Grenada.

Re: Star Wars

I saw it last night. Perhaps not the best movie in the history of the world, but it was not boring. Fun actually. Fun is okay for a movie. DH and I have been talking today about how Han Solo and Leia produced such a homely child. DH thinks that Chewy may have been involved. Lol!! We were thinking S...

I think the point is that Minz wrote a thoughtful and I'm sure what she thought was a helpful post. To respond with "no one needs that crap" is a bit harsh and perhaps better to just disregard the advice without being demeaning,

Your horse is really cute and you make a great pair. I like seeing the progress and great explanation from your trainer about opening/ lowering the inside rein to get the bend (ie don't do it). Thanks for sharing! Also really cute breeches at the end ;)

Re: The Voice

I think Jordan can have moments of brilliance but I just don't like the tone of his voice ...seems sharp too often. I much prefer Jeffery and feel like he could be a huge star with the right producer/label/songwriters.

Re: Need winter coat for Switzerland

A quick warning about trying to shop for a coat in Europe... You may find a hard time with sleeves and shoulders. Somehow American women (probably horsewoman even more) are built broad through upper back, shoulders and arms, if you find something to fit in the arms and shoulders, the sleeves will be...

Re: Emily Post wedding question

I really think 1st weddings are the only ones where people should be expected to be showered with gifts. The idea is the couple is just starting out and need things like toasters and flatware to make their home. Subsequent weddings should be a celebration, a party and nothing more. Just show up, be ...

Re: Reconvening the Court of Grammatical Peeves

kathyK..all those links missed the mark on this one. Been is the past participle of "to be". Therefore, one could say "I've never been IN Paris" or "I've never GONE to Paris". But because you can't say "I am to Paris" it's odd that saying "I've been TO Pa...

Grammar is no longer taught in school and when it is, only minimally. (e.g. parts of speech, basic sentence structure)) Mari, the cartoon you posted is awesome! Finally, my biggest cringe is when I hear people, specifically my husband, avoid the use of past participles where they are needed: I've we...

Yeah I think it's pretty innocuous around Oregon. Personally I think of the animal when I hear the term...is it still commonly used in the other way?

For me, Valerie and LeoApp hit the nail on the head... I will add... Buy less crap. If you have to buy something make sure it has intrinsic value and will last for a long time. Don't get tied down in your 20s by owning a dog. You will miss a lot of travel opportunities and late nights out. And if yo...

If there are any U.S. Military personnel over there, and she is friends with one, he/she may just be able to throw it on the cargo plane they use for troops transport. I know several who have brought back stuff as large as a pool table on their C130. Just a thought.,..
