Is there any problem mixing bit materials? I have a neue Schule Bradoon and tried a stainless Weymouth together. She did not seem to like it! I did not ride her in it. Just put it in her mouth. Was wondering if it’s like biting tinfoil over fillings!
Is there any problem with this?

Re: How to manage bolting?
What a beautiful pony! Although I have not contended with a bolting horse before, I do know a saddle that is beyond their last rib can cause lots of problems. Is if possible the saddle is too long? I believe the Amerigo has the upswept panels in the back, giving you a little more room, but I also ri...

Re: 2009 16H 4th Level Holsteiner Mare - UPDATED VIDEP!
She is a lovely mare! How tall is her rider in the video? I am trying to picture myself on her. I am 5'8. I am also 52 and am looking for a confidence builder. Is she this type of mare?
Take care.

Re: Thinline saddle pads - do you use / like it?
I have had just about every saddle pad known to man and honestly havent noticed much difference in terms of the horse's comfort or gates or my comfort. I have found some helpful in terms of fit and helping the saddle stay put. I am not that discerning I am afraid. But my very good friend swears by t...

Re: Micklem Bridle
Used the new bridle 2 times and can report I did experience quite a bit of improvement in our connection. Not perfect but improved! Unfortunately I also switched his bit to a Baucher, so unfortunately I have somewhat contaminated my experiment. I did notice that he tried to rub on me less so think t...

Re: Micklem Bridle
Hi Janet,
I will definitely report back. I should be getting the bridle by Friday and am going to be spending the night in Ocala Saturday night to get a few rides in.
Take care.

Re: Micklem Bridle
Well I think I am going to give this bridle a try! MC, i appreciate your posting this! I just bought a new horse. An 11 year Swedish horse who I adore. He is a lovely mover but is pretty fussy in the bridle. He has a couple of face issues which I am working to resolve piece by piece: 1. He needed so...
