Gypsy Vanner
Gypsy Vanner
What can anyone tell me about the Gypsy breed? Besides pictures. Also what is it like to ride a drafty breed?

Re: Gypsy Vanner
I have ridden a few, the ones I have ridden are a bit quick, in tempo, but comfy at the sitting trot. Their feather is horrific to take care of in mud.
Are you riding now? Can you post or do you need a horse to sit to?

Re: Gypsy Vanner
I do need to sit and probably won't manage to trot much. I'm also thinking maybe a Haflinger. The value (and price) of a Gypsy Vanner is a lot higher.
