I just purchased this over the weekend and am enjoying it very much:
Dressage Sabbatical: A Year of Classical Riding at Lost Hollow Farm
Rose Caslar, Paul Belasik
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XP ... UTF8&psc=1It is great to read about someone's learning experience from a trainer that I've long admired and read (Paul Belasik).
My only complaint is that it is not available in Kindle format for a Paperwhite! I am reading it on my Mac.

I shouldn't say anything, but I will anyway. It's funny, because I know that people will discover Rose's book and will love it. To me, it's the end of something that was incredibly special to me and many others and it makes me incredibly sad. She's a good writer.

Obviously I know nothing of the particular circumstances, but so far in my reading, Andrea seems to be an incredibly important teacher to the writer.
As a professional writer, I will add that I wish the author had a better editor. Overall, the writing is lacking compared to say Priscilla Endicott's memoir. But the topics and training are worth it IMO.
p.s. I only heard of this book because of a recent recommendation from Jeremy Steinberg.

I agree, I loved reading the blog at the time and it's very good information.

I read the "taking up the reins" one about the woman who rode in Germany and enjoyed that, so thanks I have downloaded this one!
I don't know the circumstances either??? But maybe I will when I've read it

Mari, I think the blog was edited into the book, so perhaps not.
I am finding some useful translation of issues I've struggled with in this memoir and have had some great rides this week from applying a little different focus to elements of my seat.

Thanks for sharing this Piedmont. I just got the free sample on my kindle app. It sounds like something I'll enjoy.
I read the book Flight mentioned, "taking up the reins" a while back and really enjoyed it.
