Notification of private messages

Hi,
I've checked my preferences for receiving notification about PMs that are sent to me. I presumed I'd be getting an email to let me know when a PM comes, but that's not happening. Anything I need to be doing differently to receive email notices that I have a PM?

Unfortunately, I had to turn off a fair number of email notifications. The board was identified by Amazon as a Spam sender. So, I turned off notifications for a bit. I have to figure out how to get away from that notification.
