So, how about a less contentious topic...Pit bulls!
This was taken 4 years ago. GoldRuler (now DollarHorse) and her husband came over for dinner on Christmas with their two dogs.
The two dogs in the front have now passed over the Rainbow Bridge (Aurora on the left and Clark on the right).
I was feeling nostalgic today.

And here is a real oldie.
Re: So, how about a less contentious topic...Pit bulls!
I'll play! Sage one of my fosters now saying HI https://www.facebook.com/keri.hall.35/v ... 439355200/.
https://www.facebook.com/keri.hall.35/v ... 522453060/ Booker (now known as Big Jake) the brindle having a grand time playing after being released for exercise after HW treatment. This is what Booker looked like at the kill shelter https://www.facebook.com/34754646198627 ... =3&theater he was pulled the day he was to be PTS. Very shut down and scared when he came, absolutely lovely lovely dog once he realized he was in a good place. Now lives in TN with 3 cats (he and Petunia have been my all time favorite fosters).
Petunia http://www.pizap.com/image/pizap.com10. ... %3Acreate# my all time favorite foster, former bait dog and breeder, came to me HW + all she ever wanted was to be loved. I had Petunia for over a year waiting for her home, at her last adoption event we were getting ready to pack up when a couple came looking to adopt. Man said his SO just wanted a dog to love and I watched them gravitate to Petunia, it was love at first sight. They moved down the row of dogs/puppies but went right back to Petunia. I was able to talk with them a bit about Petunia and give them my recommendations (she was dog selective and no children, she could resource guard over stuffies) they did not nor were not going to have kids nor did they socialize with children. Petunia actually loved any and all people, the stuffed toys was her only hang up and I had worked hard with her on trading to let her know I would not take it away. Did lots of two toy fetch, tug with OUT, leave it and calling her to me away from the toy, but with kids they can make mistakes so her restrictions were no young children. Petunia ended up with the perfect forever home that adores her for who she is, a loving family member that likes to take naps on the couch. EXACTLY what I wanted for her. I bawled all the way home and when we got an update several months later on how they adore Petunia (Tunie or Toons is what they call her, I always called her Tunie) I just sobbed. Why I foster, why I love pit bulls. They are so resilient and forgiving.

I don't have a picture to share, being dogless at the moment, but I just wanted to tell y'all about the one I saw the other day. He was clearly a pittie mix, but mixed with what? I do not know. His legs were too short and his head was too big for his body, and he was having SUCH a good time at the apple orchard with his kids. My boyfriend and I wanted to steal him and take him home. I wish I'd gotten a picture of the ridiculous/adorableness.

Chi, you have Bull Terriers??? OMG I am jealous. I love them, especially the smaller size. Patton had a white one named William, after William the Conqueror.

Yes, had Bullies all my life, since before I was born, and never been without.
They are clowns, and luv bugs, and twice Kenya has woken me when I was hypoglycemic.

Not a pitbull, a boxer mixed with something (and i'm *very* sure about the boxer part because I saw his [starved to death] mom personally - 8 years ago I went to look at a boxer girl who "was their sons, but he moved out and we don't want to feed her and her puppy anymore." She was already dead in the pen when i got there (they hadn't noticed) but I took the year old puppy "to rehome").

I saw the cutest teeny tiny brown pibble (pitbull) yesterday. She was about 30 lbs tops, and the sweetest thing.
This is my "pitbull" (or, umm, beagle mix)

I wonder what a pittie/poodle mix would look like? (I can only have poodles). Would it be a poobull?
Re: So, how about a less contentious topic...Pit bulls!
Enjoying this bully thread. I grew up with Boxers and Boston Terriers and was never without a Boston until I lost my little Moxie February of last year. We currently have three rescues of various breeds and have decided to wait to get another dog. It will definitely be a bully type. DH and I are both crazy about black and white pit bulls.

Or it could be the other way around the other way - pitdle

There was a scruffy pittie X here in Ga not too long ago, think typical pit bull body style but add in wire hair, he was pretty darn cute!
