My horse and his little goat family
My horse and his little goat family
He is sheeted because it is cold rain all day and he might shiver when wet.

What a lovely little family!
You don't have to explain the sheet to those of us in the rainy south It is a requirement for my mare when it is below 60 and rainy.

Thanks PF. I had to add that as most horses require nothing in winters here. And I suspect he might sweat under that if it gets somewhat warmer.

Very endearing photo! My older mare and the PSSM mare are both sheeted today, as it's cold and rainy here as well. There's also one mare and a mini not sheeted. The two with sheets are standing in the shelter, the two without sheets are standing in the rain. Go figure!

Cute. I adore goats. They are the reason we can never have acreage. Then I would acquire goats, and subsequently end up divorced (the sound of goats bleating freaks my husband right out, nevermind their other adorable shenanigans).
Keep calm and canter on.

Re: My horse and his little goat family
Awesome. I love goats. I have a million sheets and blankets because we used to live in the Pacific Northwet. I owned a lot of sheets because saddling a wet horse is no fun.

Like getting out and destroying the gardens, and climbing up on the vehicles and trip trapping over the hood and roof. We did have good luck with a very smelly buck we had when we pastured him on the other side of the river. He'd stay over there all summer, until the river got low enough so he could jump over it.

I would like a pic of the goats in coats too pls!
Or just a flannel shirt

OMG That is so cute, Xan! I will ask if the goats have coats and will get a photo!
It was my dream for my horse to have a goat in retirement and now he has three! As his mother, I am so happy for him!

Love that your boy is living the dream, Tsavo. I promise to get my mare a mini donkey or two in retirement

When I was a teenager we had a pygmy buck. Our back door had an opening upper window, and he would jump right through and make himself at home inside if we were unwise enough to leave him unattended.
Keep calm and canter on.
Re: My horse and his little goat family
The horses were brought in this morning and my horse was calling for his goats. But they were later reunited.
I think my horse is goat herd bound.
