Re: Where is DJR ?
Hi all, I'm doing fine. I'm touched to have you guys asking about me! That wasn't expected.
And thank you to Silk who passed on the DDBB concerns via my FB account.
Life got very difficult & complicated for me in Jan-Feb and came to a head in Mar (pre-COVID) regarding serious health concerns in a family member. I had to focus entirely on that so drastically cut back on various things including the online communities I participated in.
Then, of course, came COVID so I was very busy from that point of view and managing my family practice.
Now school is about to start and that by itself is a whole new thing with many more questions than answers.
So, I have my head to the ground but I'm doing ok overall. The horses are all fine, Finn is back in regular work and doing well for the most part. We have a Hano x Hano/TB colt on the ground, Kaz, and he's adorable (see the attached photo). Jet is at the end of his year off for his suspensory injury so I hope to put him back in work in the fall. Time is at a premium unlike ever before so who knows if I can get Jet back to the level of fitness required to train for PSG in 2021, but ya never know!
Thanks again SO much for thinking of me!

Glad you are ok! I hear you on family illness, my dad was in and out of the hospital in Jan/Feb and we lost him 2-29-20, just before covid and then covid hit right after his funeral. Been a rough year.
Cute colt:) No Shire/Hano this year? You had two younger ones full sibs to Finn didn't you? Glad Finn is doing well and hope Jet can come back stronger than ever if your Canadian winter will cooperate!

So sorry to hear about your dad. How awful.

No, despite trying! Kammie just wouldn't catch last year. This year she's been bred 3 times and Friday I'll find out if she's finally preg or not. If not, I'll be SOOO frustrated. I want another Finn sibling! I only have the one full sib to him now (Eowyn, age 2).

Good to know all is ok with you. Family issues always have to come first and they do consume so much of physically and mentally.
