Google searches for boarding barns really don’t have many facilities listed.
I may decide to move to the Bath/Fairlawn, OH area and wonder if there are many boarding barns in that area.
It doesn’t have to be a dressage barn, but I would prefer to not be at a hunter/jumper barn.
I would like to find something a bit high end or a not so fancy place but with excellent care and attention to details. I do need one with an indoor
Suggestions?

Re: Boarding barns around Akron, OH
Thanks Linda! From the website it sure looks like I would like it there! I am spoiled at my present facility but they are closing and moving south so it will be hard to move and find some place comparable. I’m not in Ohio yet, but I want to see what out there before I decide to move. My area now is limited in facilities and it’s very hard to find some place really nice with exceptional care.
Did you Google to find this or do you know of this facility?

I checked out Aptitude. The price is unbelievable for board without training. Such a deal. I pay $585, plus extra for blanketing. And my barn isn't dressage/sport horse oriented.

Paula, I pay $750 with very experienced owners, excellent care and a beautiful relaxing atmosphere. Horses are all fat and happy…unfortunately, the farm is being sold so I will have to move.

Hayburner, did you decide whether you're going to move to Bath/Fairlawn?

Rereading my post makes it sound like I think the board at Aptitude is high. Nope, the board is extremely reasonable given the looks of the barn. Hope I didn't offend anyone.

It did come across like that, Paula. Although I know and like Patrick and Alyssa, and respect Patrick as a trainer, they are too far from where I live (close to an hour) for me to have ever inquired about boarding there. I'm glad to know it's reasonable. They are lovely people.

Re: Boarding barns around Akron, OH
KathyK, I found out I will be able to stay at my barn thru the winter and probably some of next summer. The farm owner is letting 3 of us stay, for 3 months the owner will be away and we girls will handle the horses and rotate shifts for their care.
So, I won’t be moving to Bath/Fairlawn for a bit. I have been checking out houses that are for sale and so far I have not found anything close to what I want. They are either too big or too small.
