Wintec saddles and full seat breeches
No bueno. I have an epic bruise on my right inner thigh from getting stuck swinging my leg over while mounting. My full seats are REALLY STICKY (Buckwild Breeches) and caught on the cantle. Apparently I let out quite the scream cuz dammit, it hurt. Even more embarrassing is the same thing happened on the dismount, although I didn’t scream cuz it already hurt…..
Re: Wintec saddles and full seat breeches
I hate sticky breeches. Then again, I use a seat saver that is fairly ‘sticky’. I have found exercise pants from Land’s End that work great for riding pants and they have the little thigh pockets so I can easily carry my phone.
Jingles for quick healing. That is a tender area .

These are the stickiest breeches evah. They stick me to my car seat. I rode yesterday in riding tights and no problem swinging on or off. The bruise is a spectacular shade of Concord grape purple.

Re: Wintec saddles and full seat breeches
I too am not a fan of full seat breeches. Mostly because I'd rather my pants slid over the saddle than my pants sticking and my skin sliding over the pants causing chafed. I have always chafed more in full seats than I do with just leg patches or tights.
Like Susan I find many brands of exercise tights to breathe better and sit more comfortably than breeches so I often simply ride in running tights in summer and ski tights in winter. I do wear boots or chaps with them usually and I have a few pairs of long knee patch riding pants I like.
The lists of things I hate about riding pants extends to velcro on the ankles. Who the heck thought that was a good idea. Built for stick legs. At least athletic pants expect women to have calves and thighs. Most brands of breeches are too big in the waist and too tight in the calf for my build.
Expense. Seriously you can get top quality running gear for about a third of the price of lousy breeches.
Just my whiney whine.

I gave myself road rash riding in full seat tights in the summer. Tried them a second time — after a very generous application of body glide — with the same result and concluded sticky full seats are not for me.

Re: Wintec saddles and full seat breeches
I have 2 pair of the same brand. The black is sticky as glue. That’s the pair that got stuck. The rust are just fine. I like these because they are not form fitting. Regular weight, but just a skoosh baggy. They are cooler in the summer than riding tights. I have discovered Athleta leggings which are butter soft and no inside seam. I bought my first pair off eBay for $30 and will get another pair or two for riding, in addition to the tights Susan suggested above.

Exactly!!!
Re: Wintec saddles and full seat breeches
I love full seats but I don't love silicon. The non silicone ones I have really aren't that sticky, they just give reenforcement on the areas that get the more wear and tear.
However they're expensive, so I too make use of non riding pants for riding.
