It's official. I'm shareboarding

Stopped by the barn this morning to set up a ride for Tuesday and innocently. asked "how does shareboarding work." Ariel is lesson/trail horse so it's different than shareboarding a private horse. There was no question that I was going to do it. Starting September 1 I will be shareboarding a horse I never dreamed I would-- a red headed thoroughbred mare. And I can't wait!

Oh, and she would be available for full lease.......

And she doesn't have a craaaazy owner, which makes a world of difference. I'm not allowed to take her trail riding by myself, but I can go with my trainer or the trail ride guide. There is a grass track on the property and my goal is to trot it. That may have to wait til spring.

Is it crazy that at 59 years of age I can't wait to start jumping???

When I adopted my kitteh Ursala, people said I should get another named Ariel. From the Little Mermaid, which I didn't know cuz I don't have kids. While riding last night I kept calling Ariel "Ursala." I'm like the mother who goes through all the kids' names til she hits the right one.
