I don't really need anything, but I started perusing Dover's BF sales anyway.

They have the Ariat boot bags I've had my eye on for ages for $34.99, and matching helmet bag for $24.99. Had to order a schooling set and a show set of course. Thought I'd go peruse closeouts too while I was at it. Of all amazing things, they had Petrie 7000 boots in my size for $99.99. No zippers, but even if I send them out and spend $200 for zippers, it's a pretty amazing deal. Thought I would mention in case someone else is looking for a killer deal on boots. Not bad for <$250 shipped!

EDIT: My first order has shipped. Dover is doing 20% off and free shipping on $100 orders, including closeouts. Petries are now $64 Umm, yes I ordered two pairs. They say backordered, but the order went through, so we'll see if I get them. Hopefully I am set on schooling and show boots for the next decade or two.

Darn you! They had the boots in my size. $118 to my door. I didn't need them but I so wanted them....

Yikes - they have my size too. Can they be returned if they do not fit? I've never tried Petrie boots before.

I think they can be returned, but I'd probably just flip them on eBay.

My first pair arrived yesterday. They are size 11, and I compared them to my 10.5 Konigs. They are definitely a bit longer, and just a touch wider in the foot, so I'd say they run true to size (lucky, because I can only wear a nylon stocking with my Konigs). I'm a little concerned that they'll be small in the calf, but hoping that a little extra room can be created when the zippers are put in. I don't dare try them on until my husband is around to help get me back out of them though. They are gorgeous.

Yay, tried them on and they are VERY true to the cm measurements given in the Petrie sizing chart. My pair is a 39 cm calf, which I knew was on the small side (would order a 40 if going custom), and it just fits with a nylon stocking on. The zippers should be able to give me that extra cm so I can actually wear socks and breeches, and the fit will be as good as I would expect from custom. Crossing my fingers now that I get the two backordered pairs!

Well I kept checking the Dover site and saw the Petrie Anky Elegance boots in my size listed for $255 with zippers. They kept changing the sale prices so I jumped on it. Hope I read and ordered the right size. I inquired if they can be returned and was told YES. So now waiting for their arrival to check out the fit. I've always worn Ariats which fit me perfect so will see about Petrie brand/style....

Waaahh, the emailed today and said they wouldn't be fulfilling the backorder, so only one pair for me. Disappointed, but not surprised.

SF - I got that lower price several days ago when you posted about $64 on the Petrie 7000 boots. I kept going back to the site. When I selected the CloseOut option for Petries there were more lower prices listed for the Petrie Anky boots. I figured with the zippers already installed to try them. Now I see the site has increased the prices again. However, I would certainly watch out for the price discounts again - - those were really crazy LOW sales!!
