Cuisinart Food Processor Blade Recall

Cuisinart has recalled blades for certain food processors -
info on which models here. I just registered for a free replacement blade.

Ha! I think mine is from the 1980s, and I am getting a new blade! I actually think that the blade I have is a replacement - I think the plastic broke years ago.

You should look yours up on the website. The list of models I had seen did not include mine but when I put in my model number, it was on the recall list.

Sorry for being obtuse - I did look mine up on the internet, although I couldn't imagine that it would be there, and it was. But the blade had an identifying mark of a newer model. As I thought, I have replaced the blade but the one I have is on the recall list.

Apparently any blade with rivets is being recalled.
We have used ours for many loaves of bread over the years, and when I looked at the bottom of the blade it had cracks at every rivet.
