The farrier cancelled today because

he was on his way to the hospital because he got a piece of metal embedded in his chest. I forgot to ask him if it was a nail.

Farrier Matt was out this morning to trim Miss A. His anvil has a chip in it and he hit the chip at an angle. A small,piece flew off and went in his sternum. He and his client tried to get it out! He eventually went to urgent care which fortunately is across the street from a hospital. They got it out , cleaned and flushed the wound and put in a stitch. He is a little sore but other than that he is fine. He was scared though, as I would have been.
