I've wanted to learn how to do equine massage for a long while, and I've got a muscle sore pony that would benefit from more frequent massages. I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for a good (and credible) online equine massage school/course?
TIA!

I agree; I'm not certified in Masterson, but I have the DVD and book and have learned a lot, and my horses definitely show the differrence

Masterson is the way to start out. I took a 3 day class and it was worth every penny. My horses now push body parts at me to get treated.

I was going to suggest Masterson too!

I watched his seminar. I've got the book and DVD. My 23 yr old horse really seems to relax and enjoy the body work.
I'd love to do the 3 day workshop. I have the arena. Maybe some of us Oregon people should get together for training with Jim or a certified instructor?

I'd be interested too!
Keep calm and canter on.
Re: Where to learn equine massage?
I did a Masterson Method weekend seminar in Newberg last April and it was awesome. My barefoot trimmer had suggested looking into it and I explored the website and online videos. I borrowed the book through the local library, tried a few techniques and was very impressed with their effects. Then I got my own book & DVD and was excited soon after to see a weekend seminar close to my neck of the woods. Lots of folks came from around NW Oregon. I met a wonderful woman from Colton who is becoming certified. I believe there are other certified instructors in the Northwest too. Contact the MM folks and ask.
