Freaking TICKS!!
Wiped at least a half dozen off the legs of my mare after a trail ride today. I'm sure the dog is hosting some new ones. While I'm loving these uber-warm autumn temperatures, I look forward to the first frost to get rid of the parasites. YUCK!

Deer tags - amazingly awesome for keeping ticks off horses.

We have had more than one killing frost and I am STILL seeing ticks. The Seresto collars for our dogs have been fantastic though!

Going to do the Seresto collars next year for sure. Deer tags? Not familiar. Off to research.

You plait them into their mane, so they have direct contact with the skin. No ticks will go near them, while they have this in contact with the skin.

Re: Freaking TICKS!!
Thanks for the link. This close to hunting season, all I could find regarded hunting tags.
Re: Freaking TICKS!!
Ditto on the Seresto collars; haven't seen a tick on my dogs all summer right through to the fall. They (supposedly) last 8 months so I'm trying to figure out when to buy them next year...
