Le Mieux saddle pads?
I realize these are the thing of the moment. Some of the younger set at the barn have matching saddle pads and ear bonnets. I borrowed a cross-country pad and I really like the way it fits. Any opinions on this particular brand? Oddly enough I am quite taken with the gray color.

I like Lemieux pads! From the 'fancy' pad brands, Equestrian Stockholm and Kentucky Horseware pads have held up the best to lots of washing. But the Lemieux pads are very nice and their newer 'twilight' color the darker gray is beautiful. I also have been admiring their fig color which is a deep eggplant.

I quite like the fig color but I don’t think it would look good on a chestnut.

I love my le mieux pads! I have one of the suede ones and one of the cooling pads and like them pretty equally. They seem to have held up well, I’ve had them both for several years and they are still in good shape. I had to repair stitching on one of them pretty early on, but I think it was one of those fluke things. I’ve had no other issues with them before or since.

I have a bunch of LeMieux pads. They are the best pad that I've tried. My dark purple one has faded in the sun but then everything fades in the California sun.

They are well designed. I find that lots of dirt gets stuck to the suede fabric, so I won't buy any more of those. I've actually been pretty happy with my Weatherbeeta Prime pads as schooling pads.
I have two white LM Carbon Mesh pads I'd part with if you're interested.

I would like to use some of the pretty Le Mieux pads or the PS of Sweden pads, but I use the Thinline pads with thoughts that they do protect my mares back.

Right now I use bog standard pads that were Bob’s. Well, I have bought a few new ones for her, SmartPak brand. I put a sheepskin contour pad on top of that, then the saddle.

Re: Le Mieux saddle pads?
I am a recovering Le Mieux saddle pad addict. I'm now mostly using my favorites in black, grey and navy. I especially like the merino wool lined ones.
If brighter blues/teals might be of interest, Paula, contact me.
I think the mink and brown colors look especially nice on a chestnut. I have fed my habit from this shop in the UK:

p.s. I love their riding tights, too!

I have a few of the black merino lined numnahs in case you want to add to your collection.

SF, you tempt me! But I have a black numnah wool lined one, too. For some reason, the color of this shape rubs off on my grey. horse (yes, I've washed it multiple times in hopes of changing that). The big dressage pads are fine. ??
