Stall fans
I’m ditching the box fan and plan on getting an enclosed motor fan for the front of Miss A’s stall. Any brand recommendations? I don’t want to spend more than $100.
Re: Stall fans
Good for you! Quite a few barn fires are started by indoor box fans used in barns. Hopefully someone will have a recommendation but IME good sealed motor fans for barns are more than $100 unless you get a small one (18").

Re: Stall fans
I don’t use closed motor fans, but I WONT use a box fan due to the hay etc that catches in them. I use those open ones that just have a stand/legs and hang them in the stall corner by the legs. Mine usually last two to three seasons. You can find them at Walmart and similar places at the end of the season sales for under $40. Full price is usually around $45 to $50 for the size I like.

Re: Stall fans
I might be conservative but one barn fire is more than enough for a life time. Spend the extra and be safe ffs. I won't allow open fans in my barn. I use max air or these....

Re: Stall fans
My new barn uses the same fans as @Chisamba. Bonus, they can be mounted above the stall, pointing down with an extra long pull cord added. ~$130 after shipping and tax here.

I’m going with this one. https://www.qcsupply.com/10465-durafan- ... black.html It weighs 12 pounds which will be easier to hang on the front of her stall.

Re: Stall fans
Paula, did you receive your stall fan yet? How is it working so far? How did you end up attaching the fan (stall or ceiling)? I ordered the Valley Vet 18" fan (this being for my chicken coop) but too big/heavy/vortex for my use. So went with your QC Supply 14" fan. Waiting for delivery.
Re: Stall fans
I use very similar fans to what chisamba posted. I buy from TSC. Zip tie to front of stall instead of mount because I have metal not wood barn.

The added advantage is you can wash them clean
